The Sheffield & Hallamshire Motor Club this year invites you
to the Arena Panel and Paint Jackson Trophy Rally. We are pleased
to be included as rounds of 2005 AB Motorsport EMAMC Road and Historic
Rally Championships. To maintain the variation of the event this
year we have moved the start venue to the comfortable and picturesque
surroundings of the Travellers' Rest Inn at Brough.
So no changes to the map - only 110 will be required. The more
seasoned of you will appreciate how testing these roads can be
and we consider that they have been utilised to the full. Approximately
125 miles are on offer with just over 3 miles of unsurfaced roads
sprinkled in. A sumpguard is advisable for the more flamboyant
crews but is not essential. Our aim is to strike a balance and
make it an enjoyable night for all competitors which will all be
greeted with a breakfast at the finish made by our own 'Expert'
(and Semi-expert!) Kitchen crew. We hope to see you on the night
as a marshal or a competitor.
This year we have decided to use the event to raise funds for
the local Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre. This centre relies
heavily on donations and fund-raising to cover basic running costs
and is a lifeline for the people affected in the South Yorkshire
region. A portion of the entry fees will be sent after the event,
but any voluntary donations would be extremely welcome and can
be disclosed separately on the entry form.
